Two posters appeared taped to various streetlights and
poles along Polk Street over the weekend.
The first, below, is about the Polk
Streetscape Project, a proposal to create a seven block bike-only lane
on Polk from Pine Street to Broadway.

The second one, below, signed by many local merchants, is dead set
against the proposal .

As you can see, many local residents and businesses have strong feelings about this issue.
A hearing on the proposed changes will take place this Friday,
January 30, in Room 416 at City Hall at 10:00 a.m.
It should be a lively affair.
